This USB Wireless Lan Card has two bands function, but only when connected by router with 5G band,could it run at up to 433Mbps speed. Otherwise, it runs at a Max speed of 150Mbps. So, to enjoy high speed, a dual band router is a must.
– The wifi dongle works by transmitting network signal, not to strengthen it ( wifi booster does strengthen ) Therefore, the speed of the dongle cannot overpass the entire bandwidth of your broadband connection.
– 5G mode stands out within short range. If your router is near the dual band Network Card, there will be a stronger signal under 5G band mode than 2.4G band mode; if the distance is long, you will have a better signal when you choose 2.4G band mode.
